What You''ll Do
As a _Specification and Decision Processor_ for John Deere''s Horicon Works in Horicon, WI, you will initiate and publish engineering decisions, develop and maintain product specifications, factory Bill of Materials, part data and drawing image information. In this position, you will work with data and inputs from a variety of sources to compile information into complex part and assembly specifications. In addition, you will:
Input changes into PDMLink and SAP.
Write and proof engineering change requests for complex factory bill of materials and/or drawings using PDMLink.
Input engineering changes in SAP and ensures accuracy and completeness of data.
Write and publish engineering change decisions for downstream users: factory, marketing, service pubs, etc.
Research part and Bills Of Material information to determine cancellation of obsolete parts.
Act as a liaison with the Engineering department and downstream users for specification requirements.
Work closely with Engineering for processing specification changes for major programs at all life cycles of a product from production to cancellation.
Train new personnel as needed.
## What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of equivalent engineering experience. In addition, we require:
Good written communication and interpersonal skills
Work experience in a team environment
A strong candidate will also have:
One or more years working with engineering systems
Experience with SAP
Experience with PTC PDMLink
Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings
Understanding of document control and specification release processes
Experience using Product Data Management systems
Experience using MRP and/or Factory Execution Systems
